Hi, I’m Ujulu! Abeba and I went to Amhara Region with Teacher Abdu driving us there in the school bus. On our visit we were able to film the people, the food and all the traditional ceremonies and dances. We managed to visit the RAS DASHEN mountain but we were not able to climb it as it was too cold. We also saw the impressive TIS ABAY (Blue Nile Falls) where we got covered in water spray and visited the historic FASIL CASTLE at GONDAR built in the 17th century. One of the local foods we will never forget is the delicious DORO WOT (chicken sauce) and the singing and dancing of the local SHADAY girls will stay with us forever. When we returned home we shared the local recipes with Abeba’s mother to help us remember our good times in Amhara.
