Hi, I’m Abeba! Ujulu and I went to the Afar Region with Teacher Abdu. He didn’t think the school bus would make it through the hot, hot desert but it did. On our visit we were able to film the people, the food and all the traditional ceremonies and dances. We also got the chance to travel to the amazing ARTALE volcano and see many kinds of minerals including the most famous, Afar salt. We also saw big camels with their funny faces and lots of sheep and goats ‘baaing’ and ‘bleating’. One thing we were really proud to see was where the skeletons of LUCY and ARDI were found. Wow! When we returned home we shared our memories with Nesru and helped him mend his roof the traditional Afar way. Then we shared our love of camel milk with our friends!
